Deepak Malik is a Managing Director of Cargill Ventures. He focuses on enterprise software applications, software-related services and infrastructure software.

Deepak has broad global operational and strategy experience. Prior to joining Cargill Ventures, he worked in Cargill's Strategy and Business Development Group where he managed corporate strategies and mergers and acquisition, following a year as an international merchant for phosphates. Before joining Cargill, he worked with the Tata Group managing export operations and was an investment associate for Merrill Lynch.

Deepak serves on the Boards of KPIT, Informance, Intalio, Outsourced Partners Int'l (OPI), Open Business Exchange (OBE) and Microland. He oversees Cargill Ventures' investments in Bakers Circle and Westbridge Capital Partners, and led the investment in IndX Software (acq. by Siemens) and FIMI (acq. by DTN).

He holds a B.A. in Economics from University of Delhi and an M.B.A. from Cornell University. He is a Charter Member of TiE.
