Paul Bieganski is a Managing Director and the Chief Technology Officer of Cargill Ventures. He is based in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Paul is a serial entrepreneur, investor and inventor with twenty years of technology and business experience in software, Internet, embedded computers, medical devices and bioinformatics. He has invented, patented and built companies around technologies in areas as diverse as heart-lung transplant patient monitoring, genetic sequence analysis and enterprise data mining.

Most recently Paul was the Chief Technical Officer at Net Perceptions. Prior to Net Perceptions, he was the Vice-President of R&D at Signum Systems Corporation in Los Angeles, was Co-Founder of TeleMedical Inc. and Vice-President of R&D at Advanced Medical Systems Corporation. Paul also served as a National Science Foundation post-doctoral fellow at the University of Minnesota Center for Molecular Bioinformatics. Paul has published research on computational biology, protein structure modeling, data visualization, and software development.

Paul serves on the Boards of Virent Energy Systems, Teranode, Paradigm Diagnostics, iCentera and Fortiva, and oversees Cargill Ventures' investment in Compellent Technologies.

He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and a B.S. in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Minnesota.
